These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the SpeedIQ website and speed-test tool (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Using the Service

SpeedIQ provides a free internet speed test and related network information for your personal, informational use. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and not to misuse it — for example, by attempting to disrupt it, overload the infrastructure, reverse-engineer it, scrape it at scale, or interfere with other users. No account is required to run a test.

Data usage during tests

A speed test works by transferring real data between your device and a measurement server. This consumes a portion of your data allowance — typically tens to a few hundred megabytes for a full test, depending on your speed. On metered or mobile connections, you are responsible for any data charges your provider applies. Run tests with this in mind.

Accuracy & no guarantee

SpeedIQ is engineered to measure your connection accurately using real data transfers. However, results depend on many factors outside our control — including your device, Wi-Fi conditions, distance from the router, the test server, your provider and network congestion. Results are provided for informational purposes and may vary between tests. We do not warrant that any specific result, speed, or availability will be achieved, and results should not be treated as a guaranteed measurement of your provider's plan.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, text, graphics, logos and software, is owned by SpeedIQ and its licensors and is protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks, branding or content except as necessary to use the Service as intended.

Third-party services & links

The Service may rely on third-party infrastructure (such as content-delivery networks and a geo-IP provider) and may display advertisements or links to third-party sites and app stores. We are not responsible for the content, policies or practices of third parties, and your use of them is subject to their own terms.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SpeedIQ and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service.

Changes to the Service & Terms

We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, and we may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
